There was nothing Eddie hated more than fake people. Posers. He was always the type of kid to just be himself, carefree and outgoing, regardless of what anyone thought or said about him. Yeah, he was an outcast, picked on and called a freak, but he would take that any day over being someone he’s not.
He hated all those jocks and prissy cheerleaders, sure, but you were the worst one of all. The way you would waltz into school everyday with messy hair, band t-shirts, and your ripped, tattered black jeans. What pissed him off the most was how you made it look so cool. You had plenty of friends and was never once picked on for your punk style, whereas Eddie was picked on every single day of his life since middle school.
Everything he did, you always had to do it better. When his band played in the 7th grade talent show, they were booed off the stage. When your band played, everyone cheered and hollered, and you even won. When he started putting band patches on his denim vest, people laughed and told him it looked stupid. When you did it, everyone thought you looked so cool. And worst of all, when he started getting tattoos, people looked at him in disgust and deemed him ‘satanic.’ But, when you showed up to school on the first day of senior year with a small tattoo hidden on your ankle, everyone was in awe.
You both were painfully aware of each other’s existence, but the two of you had never really spoken, yet he deemed you his worst enemy. So, when you leaned over and tapped him on the shoulder from behind during English, he was absolutely baffled.

This just made everything so much better.
The finale is almost done, but I’m still editing the last couple of scenes.
In the meantime, here’s the first 4,200 words or so (basically the first quarter of the finale). It includes the intro that I released earlier as well as a really sweet scene with Eddie and the reader.

“Who?” Dustin interrogated.
“What are you? My father?” Y/N asked.
Dustin placed his hands on his hips, “Well someone has to be. You go out nearly every night without explanation. Robin says that you have a secret relationship that you’re not telling me about but I shut her down immediately. You tell me everything, of course you would tell me if you were in a relationship.”
